About OUR NEWS Christian Magazine

     Tris Publishing published the first issue of OURNEWS Christian Magazine in August 2004. It began as a black and white newsprint publication, distributed only within the city of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Over time and due to its increasing popularity, OUR NEWS is now a full-color, glossy publication distributed throughout Mississippi’s Pine Belt through area outlets and subscription sales, steadily increasing its approximate readership of 25,000.
Writers and columnist of OUR NEWS are seasoned professionals in fields of medicine, journalism, religion and business.
OUR NEWS Christian Magazine is a platform for national and local personalities to lend their voices and influence on subjects concerning Christianity, life, education, business, health and fitness, sports, entertainment and more.


     OUR NEWS publishes features in education, business, health and fitness, nutrition, sports, and entertainment. Nationally featured personalities have included author and psychologist Kevin Leman, Ph.D.; author and actor Bill Cosby; evangelist and pastor, Bishop T. D. Jakes; Mom & Pop (David & Delores) and CeCe Winans; author and actress Lisa Whelchel; singer, Patti LaBelle; author and evangelist Michelle McKinny Hammond; quarterbacks Brett Favre and Steve McNair; fundraiser, Deanna Favre, actors Rockmond Dunbar, and Blair Underwood; and actresses, Vanessa Williams, and Lisa A.
